Go Confidently

I feel paralyzed, sometimes, by the uncertainty of making choices.  With no one to narrow my focus but myself, it's terrifying to even decide the simplest of things.  What if I'm wrong?  And who is to say that I am?  How do I define this in my own life?

There will always be people giving you advice or trying to tell you what to do.  Ultimately, though, once your of age to pick and choose your own destiny, you are solely to blame for the outcomes.  It's daunting.

I read an anonymous quote recently that said, "Don't grow up.  It's a trap."

It is.

So, I've decided to do just that.  Never grow up; to never surrender my childish spirit.  To dream wildly.  To live happily.

One of my favorite men from history said it best.  If you can heed this advice, I mean truly live by it, your decision making can only point you in the right direction.

Prints Please?

My sister has me all in a tizzy over Lora Zombie.  I shouldn't be surprised that our shared Pinterest page has sparked inspiration for me.  My sister has (obviously from her numerous shout outs on here) always been a motivator in my life.

That being said, after checking out Lora's deviantART page a few days ago, I've found myself revisiting to delve deeper into the depths of the artist's archives.  Ms. Zombie is a ripe 23 years old and was born in Russia.  I'm obsessed.

Something about whales lately.. This is the painting that sparked my clickscapade through all of the artwork.

The way she incorporates pop culture references into her pieces entices me.  Plus, I'm a sucker for paint splatter and street art.  Something tells me I will own something of hers soon.

If you have time to scour her gallery on deviantART, a few of my other favorites are Girl and Whale, Panda Sweater, and Red Riding Hood.  I have such envy for people who can paint.  While I see wonderful images in my mind, they never seem to make it to canvas at all like I imagine.  Zombie makes me want to paint, though.
