I recently invested in an iPhone, mostly for facetime purposes, but some little part of me kept screaming, "You can take pictures that will actually look good for The Knock-About Life!" Since I've gotten my hands on a better camera, though, I cannot resist shooting pictures of the clouds.
Maybe it has something to do with the extreme amount of rain this summer, but for the past couple of days I cannot keep my eyes off the sky. I am fascinated by clouds in the first place, but recently I have had some sort of spiritual awakening by the sights of them. It never fails, if there is no beauty to be found in my day, I can look to the sky for something wonderful. Clouds are my visual escape from reality.
I feel so small when I look up. When I think about the space beyond the sky in my view. The great expansiveness of this place we live. So, maybe these clouds I've fallen in love with really bring me back to reality. Either way, I'll never stop scouring the sky for dinosaurs or Snoopy.
(Just because I really wanted to share this great view of the new Ferris wheel in Centennial Olympic Park.. I had a chance to snag this photo on en evening adventure to my best friend's office..)
